Attendance rate definition

Attendance rate means the ratio of the number of students actually in attendance over the course of a school year to the number of students who were required to be in attendance that school year, as calculated pursuant to rules of the superintendent of public instruction.
Attendance rate means the number of instructional days a student is present divided by the number of instructional days provided by the school during a specific period. Exceptions to compulsory attendance and excused absences shall be included as instructional days present for the purpose of this calculation.
