To be considered an Eligible Individual for the purpose of this Schedule 1, individuals undertaking training under the following arrangements must present the relevant Referral Form or Letter to the RTO prior to enrolment: Asylum Seekers and Victims of Human Trafficking Initiative; Young People Transitioning from Care Initiative (if appropriate to the RTO); access to the VTG for retrenched employees; and Automotive Supply Chain Training Initiative.

The Aliens Board shall grant asylum in accordance with the 1951 Geneva Convention on the Status of Refugees and its 1967 Protocol, the 1997 Dublin Convention on Asylum Seekers, the 1950 European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and its additional protocols which are in force for Cyprus, as well as other relevant international instruments in force for Cyprus.
The RTO must retain a copy of the relevant Referral Form for audit or review purposes: Referred Job Seekers; Asylum Seekers and Victims of Human Trafficking Initiative; Single and Teenage Parents Training Initiative (if appropriate to the RTO); and Young People Transitioning from Care Initiative (if appropriate to the RTO).
For the avoidance of doubt the Provider shall not be in breach of the provisions of Clause 31.1(a) by undertaking ordinary and usual lobbying of the Authority and/or any other government department for any change in law and/or policy in respect of Asylum Seekers (provided that this does not involve criticism of or requests to change this Contract and/or the Authority’s management of this Contract).
Persons who receive benefits according to the Asylum Seekers' Benefits Act (Asylbewerberleistungsgesetz), citizens' benefits (Bürgergeld) or social assistance (Sozialhilfe) must apply to their benefit provider (Job Centre or Social Welfare Office) BEFOREhand for an assurance that the rental costs will be covered .
