asylum application means the request for protection which is submitted by a third-country national to a Member State and which can be regarded as having been submitted on the grounds that the third-country national is a refugee within the meaning of Article 1(A) of the Geneva Convention. Any request for protection shall be deemed to be an asylum application, unless the person concerned explicitly seeks another type of protection for which a separate request can be submitted;
