Assigned responsibilities is defined as (1) the total number of classes per week for all courses taught, plus (2) the number of periods per week used for other assigned professional activities and/or non-teaching duties. The latter are to be determined in consultation with the Department Heads/Coordinator and Principal or Principal’s designee. If the group cannot reach a decision by consensus, the Superintendent and the President of the LEA or their designees will consult to seek a resolution. If they are unable to resolve the matter, the Superintendent will designate a facilitator or facilitators trained in interest-based bargaining to help improve the group process. All members of the group are obligated to cooperate in good faith with any such facilitation.
