Assessment endpoint. An aspect of the natural system that is of value to society or the local community as well as important to the ecology of the system.
Assessment endpoint means an explicit expression of a specific ecological receptor and an associated function or quality that is to be maintained or protected. Assessment endpoints represent ecological receptors directly or as their surrogates for the purposes of an ecological risk assessment.
