Assessment due definition

Assessment due means an assessment for which a pro- ducer, handler or producer−handler has incurred a specific legal obligation of payment under the marketing order. An assessment becomes due when title to the affected commodity transfers and the volume basis used to determine the assessment amount becomes known.
