Artesian Aquifer definition

Artesian Aquifer means a water-bearing stratum, which when encountered during drilling operations, produces a pressurized flow of groundwater that reaches an elevation above the ground surface;
Artesian Aquifer means a Water-bearing rock stratum which, when encountered during drilling operations, produces a pressurized flow of groundwater that reaches an elevation above the Water table or above the ground surface.
Artesian Aquifer means a confined aquifer in which groundwater is under sufficient head to rise above the level at which it was first encountered whether or not the water flows at land surface. If the water level stands above land surface the well is a flowing artesian well. (Figure 240-1).
