Architect/Engineer or “A/E” means the Person identified in the Agreement responsible for providing professional design services and construction contract administration for the Project. The A/E shall be (1) a registered architect holding a license and certificate of authorization issued by the Ohio Architects Board pursuant to ORC Chapter 4703, (2) a landscape architect holding a license and certificate of authorization issued by the Ohio Landscape Architects Board pursuant to ORC Chapter 4703, or (3) a professional engineer or professional surveyor holding a license and certificate of authorization issued by the Ohio Engineers and Surveyors Board pursuant to ORC Chapter 4733. As used in the Agreement, the term A/E may include a criteria architect or engineer for a Design-Build project.
Architect means the person or other entity engaged by the PHA to perform architectural, engineering, design, and other services related to the work as provided for in the contract. When a PHA uses an engineer to act in this capacity, the terms “architect” and “engineer” shall be synonymous. The Architect shall serve as a technical representative of the Contracting Officer. The Architect’s authority is as set forth elsewhere in this contract.
Architects means any Architect whom the Vendors and the Builder have appointed as the Architects for the Project / Buildings time to time.
Geotechnical engineer means a professional engineer registered with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of the Northwest Territories and whose principal field of specialization is the design and construction of earthworks in a permafrost environment;
Landscape architect means a person who holds a license to practice landscape architecture in the state of California Business and Professions Code, Section 5615.
Project Architect means the architect retained by Lessee to design and supervise construction of the Improvements.
Structural Engineer means the Engineer appointed or to be appointed from time to time by Promoter for the preparation of the structural design and drawings of the buildings .
Engineering means the application of scientific knowledge for the design, control, or use of building structures, equipment, or apparatus.
Site Engineer means an Engineer appointed by the SBIIMS at site as their representative for day-to-day supervision of work and to give instructions to the contractors.
Engineer means the person whose services have been engaged by UNDP to administer the Contract as provided therein, as will be notified in writing to the Contractor.
Engineers Certificate" shall mean a certificate of the Consulting Engineers or of such other engineer or firm of engineers having a favorable repute for skill and experience in the engineering matters with respect to which such certification is required by this Master Indenture.
Design engineer means a person professionally qualified and duly licensed in New Jersey to perform engineering services that may include, but not necessarily be limited to, development of project requirements, creation and development of project design and preparation of drawings and specifications.
Architect or Engineer means an individual, firm, partnership, association, properly qualified person or the legally authorized representative(s), designated by the Owner, experienced in and legally qualified to practice the profession involved for the administration of the contract, inspections and testing. The term shall apply to the Owner when the Owner is acting as its own Architect or Engineer.
Architect's Contract means Lessee's contract with the Project Architect.
Civil engineer means a professional engineer registered in the State to practice in the field of civil works.
Project Engineer means the surveyor or engineer employed by or private
Systems Engineering means preparing specifications, identifying and resolving interface problems, developing test requirements, evaluating test data, and supervising design.
SBI Engineer means The Civil/Electrical Engineer in-charge of the Project, as nominated by the AGM (P&E) SBI, Ahmedabad// Competent Authority, Ahmedabad.
Construction Consultant means a third-party architect or engineer selected and retained by Funding Lender, at the cost and expense of Borrower, to monitor the progress of construction and/or rehabilitation of the Project and to inspect the Improvements to confirm compliance with this Borrower Loan Agreement.
Professional Engineer means a person entitled to practise as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario under a licence issued under the Professional Engineers Act;
City Engineer means the person appointed to the office of City Engineer, by Council, acting, either directly or through authorized staff acting severally within the scope of the particular duties entrusted to them.
Quality Surveillance Engineer / Inspector means any person appointed by or on behalf of the Purchaser to inspect or carry out quality surveillance on supplies, stores or work under the Contract or any person deputed by the Quality Surveillance Engineer for the said purpose.
Construction Contractor means a person who undertakes to or offers to undertake to, or purports to have the capacity to undertake to, or submits a bid to, or does himself or by or through others, construct, alter, repair, add to, subtract from, improve, move, wreck, or demolish any building, highway, road, railroad, excavation, or other structure, project, development, or improvement to real property, or to do any part thereof. "Construction contractor" includes subcontractors, specialty contractors, prime contractors, and any person receiving consideration for the general supervision and/or coordination of such a construction project except for remediation contracting. This definition shall govern without regard to whether or not the construction contractor is acting in fulfillment of a contract.
Independent Engineer means a licensed Professional Engineer with expertise in the development of renewable energy projects using the same renewable energy technology as the Facility, reasonably selected by and retained by Seller in order to determine the as-built nameplate capacity of the Facility as provided in Section 3.4(b)(xiii) hereof.
Resident Engineer means the representative of the Commissioner duly designated by the Commissioner to be his/her representative at the site of the Work.
