Approved equivalent definition

Approved equivalent qualifications are published by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority. Employees will be required to: • complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; • complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy; and • complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment.
Approved equivalent means a substituted product that meets the required quality and performance standards of a named product and has been approved for substitution in writing by the Director.
Approved equivalent or “Approved Equal” shall mean an item approved by the Engineer as being acceptable as a substitute for a specified item.
