Appeal Request definition

Appeal Request means a written document that contains the information required by the Appeal Procedures set forth below in the Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeals and Waivers section of this Catalog.
Appeal Request means a clear expression, either orally or in writing, by an applicant or enrollee, to have any Exchange eligibility determinations or redeterminations reviewed by an appeals entity.
Appeal Request means a request by a person affected by an agency action to review and resolve a dispute of an agency action in an administrative fair hearing; or a desire to challenge agency delay or failure to act. An appeal request may also be filed to request a hearing to dispute one or more general issues related but not limited to, agency policies, standards, practices, notice requirements, and/or performance.

Examples of Appeal Request in a sentence

  • The resident may request for their sanction(s) to be altered because the sanction(s) assigned are unduly burdensome, either because they are disproportionate to the violation and escalating conduct process, or because circumstances individual to the respondent render the sanction(s) more burdensome than they would typically be.(c) Once the Appeal Request Form is received, a Residence Manager other than the initial decision maker will review the appeal request within 72 hours.

  • Should a student believe that there are issues with the finding of responsibility or sanctions related to their incident, they always have the right to appeal the decision.(a) The Appeal Process is in place for all decisions excluding Eviction.(b) Students may complete an Appeal Request Form and submit it to the Residence Office, within 72 hours of receiving the decision letter.

More Definitions of Appeal Request

Appeal Request means a request by a person affected by an agency action to review and resolve a dispute of a final agency action in an administrative fair hearing; a desire to challenge agency delay or failure to act. The appeal request must be made in writing, preferably on agency forms designated for such purposes, unless federal law or regulation governing a program permits oral appeal requests. The appeal request may also be made electronically through the state’s web-based integrated eligibility system. An appeal request may include an affected party /parties or an individual/ entity acting on behalf of the affected party/parties. An appeal request may also be filed to request a hearing to dispute one or more general issues related but not limited to, agency policies, standards, practices, notice requirements, and/or performance.

  • Renewal Request means a written notice delivered to the Agent in accordance with Clause 6.6 (Renewal of a Letter of Credit).

  • Urgent care request means a claim relating to an admission, availability of care, continued stay or health care service for which the covered person received emergency services but has not been discharged from a facility, or any Pre-Service Claim or concurrent care claim for medical care or treatment for which application of the time periods for making a regular external review determination:

  • L/C Application means an application and agreement for the issuance or amendment of a Letter of Credit in the form from time to time in use by the L/C Issuer.

  • Permit Application has the meaning ascribed to it in Section 2.35.

  • Access Request means a request for access to Facilities and/or Services on the Access List made by the Access Seeker under subsection 5.4.5 of the MSA Determination and containing the information in subsection 5.4.6 of the MSA Determination and in Clause 5(b) hereof and as per the format in Appendix A hereof.

  • Mediation Notice has the meaning set forth in Section 7.06(c).

  • Successful Respondent means an organization that receives a grant award as a result of this RFA. May also be referred to as "Grantee, ""Awarded Applicant," "Subrecipient" or "Grant Recipient."

  • Application Deadline means 5:00 p.m., Eastern Time, on the final day of the Application Period.

  • Appeals Tribunal or “AT” means the Body responsible for hearing and determining appeals set out in section 9;

  • Administrative Action has the meaning set forth in paragraph 4(a) of Annex I.

  • Appeal Panel means a panel comprised of a chair and two individuals appointed by the Board to consider appeals under Chapter 7.

  • Administrative Claim Bar Date means the deadline for filing requests for payment of Administrative Claims, which shall be 30 days after the Effective Date.

  • Claims Bar Date means the applicable bar date by which Proofs of Claim must be Filed, as established by: (a) the Bar Date Order; (b) a Final Order of the Bankruptcy Court; or (c) the Plan.

  • Reviewing Authority means the Alberta Securities Commission.

  • Facility LC Application is defined in Section 2.19.3.

  • Guarantor Request and "Guarantor Order" mean, respectively, a written request or order, as the case may be, signed in the name of the Guarantor by the Chairman of the Board, a Vice Chairman, the President or a Vice President, and by the Treasurer or an Assistant Treasurer, the Secretary or an Assistant Secretary, of the Guarantor and delivered to the Trustee.

  • Application Review Start Date means the later date of either the date on which the District issues its written notice that the Applicant has submitted a completed Application or the date on which the Comptroller issues its written notice that the Applicant has submitted a completed Application and as further identified in Section 2.3.A of this Agreement.

  • Appeal Board means the State Charter School Appeal

  • Claims Bar Date Order means that certain order entered by the Bankruptcy Court establishing the Claims Bar Date.

  • Project Application means the federal Section 5311 operating assistance project application submitted by the Municipal Corporation to, and as approved by the Commissioner for the Project described in Appendix C of this Agreement, including all project supporting information submitted therewith.

  • Urgent Care Claim means a claim for medical care or treatment where making a non-urgent care decision: (a) could seriously jeopardize the life or health of the claimant or the ability of the claimant to regain maximum function, as determined by an individual acting on behalf of the plan applying the judgment of a prudent layperson who possesses an average knowledge of health and medicine; or (b) in the opinion of a physician with knowledge of the claimant’s medical condition, would subject the claimant to severe pain that cannot be adequately managed without the care.
