Destroyed means, with respect to a nonconforming outdoor advertising device, that, in the case of wooden sign structures, sixty percent (60%) or more of the upright supports of a sign structure are physically damaged such that normal repair practices would call for replacement of the broken supports or, in the case of metal sign structures, replacement of at least thirty percent (30%) of the length above ground of each broken, bent, or twisted support;
Apparent owner means the person whose name appears on the records of the holder as the person entitled to property held, issued, or owing by the holder.
Gasket or thread locking adhesive remover means a product designed or labeled to remove gaskets or thread locking adhesives. Products labeled for dual use as a paint stripper and gasket remover and/or thread locking adhesive remover are considered “Gasket or Thread Locking Adhesive Remover.”
Deface means to intentionally mar the external appearance.
Adhesive remover means a product designed to remove adhesive from either a specific substrate or a variety of substrates. “Adhesive Remover” does not include products that remove adhesives intended for use on humans or animals.
Flashing light means a light flashing at regular intervals at a frequency of 120 flashes or more per minute.
Awning means a structure, moveable or fixed, covered with fabric or like material attached and projecting from a building or structure, but not forming an integral part thereof and includes a canopy;
Bathing means washing oneself by sponge bath; or in either a tub or shower, including the task of getting into or out of the tub or shower.
Adhesive means any chemical substance that is applied for the purpose of bonding two surfaces together other than by mechanical means.
Automotive Wax, Polish, Sealant or Glaze means a product designed to seal out moisture, increase gloss or otherwise enhance motor vehicle painted surfaces including, but not limited to, products designed for use in auto body repair shops and drive-through car washes, as well as products designed for the general public and excluding automotive rubbing or polishing compounds, automotive wash and wax products, surfactant-containing car wash products and products designed for use on unpainted surfaces such as bare metal, chrome, glass or plastic.
Environmentally Sensitive Material means oil, oil products and any other substance (including any chemical, gas or other hazardous or noxious substance) which is (or is capable of being or becoming) polluting, toxic or hazardous;
Faux finishing coating means a coating labeled and formulated as a stain or a glaze to create artistic effects including, but not limited to, dirt, old age, smoke damage, and simulated marble and wood grain.
Shrub means and refer to a woody plant, smaller than a tree, consisting of several small stems from the ground or small branches near the ground.
Explosive material means any chemical compound, mixture, or device which produces a substantial instantaneous release of gas and heat spontaneously or by contact with sparks or flame.
Lightweight means the displacement of a ship in metric tons without cargo, fuel, lubricating oil, ballast water, fresh water and feed water in tanks, consumable stores, and passengers and crew and their effects.
Mounting adhesive means an aerosol adhesive designed to permanently mount photographs, artwork, and any other drawn or printed media to a backing (paper, board, cloth, etc.) without causing discoloration to the artwork.
Glass means fixed plain glass and mirrors in or on the Insured’s business premises excluding painting, tinting, embossing or ornamental works on the glass.
Antique firearm means a firearm or replica of a firearm not designed or redesigned for using rim fire or conventional center fire ignition with fixed ammunition and manufactured in or before 1898, including any matchlock, flintlock, percussion cap, or similar type of ignition system and also any firearm using fixed ammunition manufactured in or before 1898, for which ammunition is no longer manufactured in the United States and is not readily available in the ordinary channels of commercial trade.
Fishing gear means any equipment, implement, or other thing that can be used in the act of fishing, including any fishing net, rope, line, float, trap, hook, winch, vessel, or aircraft;
Decorative pole means a streetlight pole specially designed and placed for aesthetic purposes and on which no appurtenances or attachments, other than specially designed informational or directional signage or temporary holiday or special event attachments, have been placed or are permitted to be placed according to nondiscriminatory municipal codes.
Artwork means the text and design specifications for the Game Disc label and the Printed Materials in the format specified by NOA in the Guidelines.
Mentally defective means that a person suffers from a mental disease or defect which renders that person temporary or permanently incapable of appraising the nature of his or her conduct. 9 G.C.A. § 25.10(a)(4).
Painting has the meaning set forth in Section 1.6(a).
Dielectric material means a material that does not conduct direct electrical current. Dielectric coatings are used to electrically isolate UST systems from the surrounding soils. Dielectric bushings are used to electrically isolate portions of the UST system (e.g., tank from piping).
Hazing means committing an act against a student, or coercing a student into committing an act, that creates a substantial risk of harm to a person, in order for the student to be initiated into or affiliated with a student organization, or for any other purpose.
