Anti-chip coating definition

Anti-chip coating means a coating designed to reduce stone chipping damage. Anti-chip coatings may be applied to broad areas of the vehicle or to selected vehicle surfaces that are most vulnerable to impingement by stones and other road debris (e.g., rocker panels, the bottom edges of doors and fenders, and the leading edge of the roof). Anti-chip coatings are typically applied after the electrodeposition primer and before the topcoat and are considered primer-surfacer coatings.
