Anesthetic definition

Anesthetic means a drug, gas, or other agent used to abolish the sensation of pain. There are 3 classifications as follows:

Examples of Anesthetic in a sentence

  • In providing Anesthetic Services, the Operator shall adhere at all times with the Accreditation requirements of the CPSA, the Association and any Designation requirements imposed by the Minister in respect of the Facility.

  • Anesthetists (including paediatric anesthetists) practicing in the operator facility(ies) shall follow the policies principles, procedures standards and scheduling established by the zone/local Department of Anesthesia Anesthetic Services will only be provided where blocks of six (6) hours if surgery are booked.

  • In providing Anesthetic Services, the Operator(s) shall adhere at all times with the Accreditation requirements of the CPSA, the Association and any Designation requirements imposed by the Minister in respect of the Facility.

  • Anesthetic Services will only be provided where blocks of six (6) hours of surgery are booked.

  • Anesthetic block (e.g. epidural, spinal) for treatment of pain in or originating from the pelvic area; D.

  • The Standby/On Call scheduling currently occurs in the following Units, Surgical Suite, Post Anesthetic Care Unit, Ambulatory Day Care, Cardiac Cath Lab and Arrhythmia Clinic.

  • Anesthetic or sedation procedures performed by the operating Physician, his assistant surgeon, or an advanced practice registered nurse will be covered as a part of the surgical or diagnostic procedure unless We determine otherwise.

  • Drug and Local Anesthetic Reactions - There is the possibility that a systemic reaction could occur from either the topical or local anesthetic or epinephrine used for sensory nerve block anesthesia when tissue filler injections are performed.

  • AHS, will, in addition to Facility Fees and Anaesthetic Fees set out above, reimburse the Operator for reasonable and medically necessary supplies for bone grafting (including Dynagraft, Bio-Oss, plates and screws) and osteodistraction appliances will be funded additional to the Facility and Anesthetic Fees at a price equivalent to the amount typically paid directly by AHS for such supplies.
