American Style definition

American Style means the Options style which allows an Exercise at any time between the Trade Day and Expiration Day;

American Style means an Option which allows the Grantee to exercise the Option at any time up to and including the date of the Option’s expiration.

American Style means, in relation to the exercise style of the Warrant, a Warrant which can be exercised between 9.00am and the Closing Time on any Business Day from the date of issue up to and including the Expiry Date.

• In the case of an American Style CitiFirst Warrant, an Exercise Notice can be delivered and becomes effective on any Business Day it is delivered to Citi prior to Closing Time on the Relevant Expiry Date (as determined by Citi in its absolute discretion), unless it is received after Closing Time in which case it shall become effective on the next Business Day during the Exercise Period (provided that date is before the Relevant Expiry Date) as determined by Citi in its absolute discretion.

• American Style Warrants are exercisable on any Business Day during the Exercise Period.

• An Option may either be a European Style Option or an American Style Option as prescribed in the Contract Specifications of that Contract and must be exercised in accordance with the Clearing House Rules.

• The following provisions of this Condition 3(A) shall apply to Warrants which are expressed to be American Style.

• If the Warrants are American Style Warrants, upon exercise of less than all the Warrants constituted by the Global Warrant, the Common Depositary will, on the instructions of, and on behalf of, the Principal Warrant Agent, note such exercise on the Schedule to the Global Warrant and the number of Warrants so constituted shall be reduced by the cancellation pro tanto of the Warrants so exercised.
