AMBULATORY SURGICAL definition

AMBULATORY SURGICAL. FACILITY means a facility (other than a Hospital) whose primary function is the provision of surgical procedures on an ambulatory basis and which is duly licensed by the appropriate state and local authority to provide such services.

  • AMBULATORY SURGICAL CENTER (FREESTANDING) means a state licensed facility, which is equipped to provide surgery services on an outpatient basis.

  • AMBULATORY SURGICAL FACILITY – A facility provider licensed and approved by the state in which it provides covered health care services or as otherwise approved by Keystone Health Plan Central and which: ANESTHESIA – consists of the administration of regional anesthetic or the administration of a drug or other anesthetic agent by injection or inhalation, the purpose and effect of which is to obtain muscular relaxation, loss of sensation or loss of consciousness.
