Ambulatory Data definition
Ambulatory Data means encounter-level data for ambulatory surgeries, and may also include various types of outpatient services such as observation stays, lithotripsy, radiation therapy, imaging, chemotherapy, and labor and delivery. Iowa ambulatory data includes data from hospital-owned ambulatory surgery facilities.
Examples of Ambulatory Data in a sentence
TEDs data will be used to tabulate the number of Contractor network inpatient admissions and outpatient visits; MTF Standard Inpatient Data Records (SIDRs) will be used to tabulate the number of MTF inpatient dispositions; and MTF Standard Ambulatory Data Records (SADRs) will be used to tabulate the number of MTF outpatient encounters.
Information is obtained from an automated medical records system, the Composite Health Care System (specifically, the Ambulatory Data Module), which is automatically sent to the third party outpatient collection program.
