AM peak hour definition

AM peak hour means the four consecutive 15-minute time segments in the morning (AM) with the highest measured volume of traffic in the commute direction (for example 7:30 to 8:30 AM).
AM peak hour means the number of vehicular traffic movements entering and exiting a site during the highest volume consecutive sixty (60) minutes in the a.m. peak period from seven a.m. (7:00 a.m.) to nine a.m. (9:00 a.m.) on the local street system.

Examples of AM peak hour in a sentence

  • The AM peak hour Trip Threshold shall be 595 vehicle trips; the PM peak hour Trip Threshold shall be 465 vehicle trips; and the PM peak Trip Threshold shall be 265.

  • The number of trips generated by the School shall be determined by selecting the single highest hourly inbound plus outbound volume (for all driveways combined between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM for the AM peak hour between 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM for the PM peak hour, and between 4:30pm and 7:00pm for the PM peak.
