Item # Milestone/Task/Deliverable Description Education Pioneers is an American non-profit organization that aims to increase the talent supply of top leaders in education to improve the leadership capacity in key education organizations-such as school districts, charter school organizations, and nonprofits-and to advance their goal to make education the best led and managed sector in the U.S. Since 2009, the Chicago Public Schools has teamed up with Education Pioneers to place Fellows within various Central Office departments for a ten week, ten month or one year internship. CPS has utilized Fellows to develop performance metrics, research best practices, and increase departmental operating efficiency and program evaluation. The Talent Office has been managing this talent pipeline but the associated costs to host a fellow have been paid for by each individual department. This year, the program’s popularity has resulted in a larger number of interest from various CPS departments resulting in a higher than expected cost of approximately $150,000. Historically, 8-15 fellows are placed. This summer, there will be approximately 30 graduate school fellows and analysts. Talent Office is seeking necessary approval to move forward with a new CPOR with two options to renew for this coming summer. Delivery/Performance Date(s) July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016 Costs
