Alternative Materials definition

Alternative Materials means a material that is not currently used in the manufacture of license plates, but that was previously used. Alternative materials may include, but are not limited to, porcelain, steel, or a grade of aluminum other than a grade currently being used. Alternative materials must be pre-approved by the Department.
