Alternative Group Health Plan. If the School District can offer an alternate plan without incurring higher VEBA plan rates, the School District shall also make available an alternative group health plan to employees and eligible retirees who do not elect coverage provided for under the provision of the high deductible health plan described in Subd. 4-B. The School District shall contribute towards the monthly premium of an alternative health plan pursuant to Section D, Subd. 3. of this Article minus the difference in cost between the premium of the alternative plan and the premium of the VEBA plan, including the School District contribution to the HRA. Subd. 4. Selection of School District’s Group Health and Hospitalization Plan: In the event this Agreement causes or will cause penalties, fees, or fines to be assessed against the School District, the parties agree to reopen negotiations that result in a revised Agreement between the parties that eliminates or reduces penalties, fees, or fines to be assessed against the School District.
