Alternative Analysis definition

Alternative Analysis means the consideration of various degrees of structural replacements to ensure the most cost effective means to ensure a safe, reliable and long- term intersection of railroad and highway rights-of-way. Such analysis should also include establishment of at-grade crossings, where allowable, or the removal of a structure where traffic can be reasonably redirected.
