Affiliated Hospitals definition

Affiliated Hospitals as used herein, refers to hospitals providing medical services to members of the public during the course of an approved medical or other professional health care clinical training program, and which have affiliation agreements with the University to provide that training. These hospitals are collectively represented by the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) located at the University. The term "Hospital," as used herein, refers to the specific affiliated hospital where the Resident is on rotation at a given time. Each Hospital is a separate entity and cannot bind any of the others through its actions. The University agrees to appoint the Resident, and the Resident accepts appointment, as a trainee under the following terms and conditions:
Affiliated Hospitals shall be changed to “Affiliated Hospital”.

Examples of Affiliated Hospitals in a sentence

  • Authorized or consented to the assumption of a statutory or contractual obligation of the Governmental Entity by an Affiliated Hospital or any other entity acting on behalf of an Affiliated Hospital or group of Affiliated Hospitals.

  • An appointment to a medical housestaff position is made according to the terms of the contract negotiated annually by the Affiliated Hospitals Committee.

Related to Affiliated Hospitals

  • Participating Hospital means an Administrator Hospital that has an agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide Hospital services to participants in the Participating Provider Option program.

  • Affiliated Entity means any entity controlling, controlled by, or under common control with an Insured.

  • Participating Home Infusion Therapy Provider means a Home Infusion Therapy Provider who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

  • Nonprofit entity means any entity organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes, or operated by the Federal Government, the State, or any political subdivision of the State.
