Aerospace primer definition
Aerospace primer means the first layer and subsequent layers of identically formulated coating applied to the surface of an aerospace vehicle or component. Primers are typically used for corrosion prevention, protection from the environment, functional fluid resistance, or adhesion of subsequent coatings.
