Advanced Study definition

Advanced Study means the study that includes more than one main study and possibly the required supporting studies.
Advanced Study credit for remuneration shall be obtained via two (2) methods:
Advanced Study offerings are part of the district’s initiatives, then the district shall pay the cost(s) of the program. If the “Advanced Study” is part of the Teacher’s “Advanced Study Intent Form, then the Teacher shall pay the cost(s).

Examples of Advanced Study in a sentence

  • For the removal of any doubt, it is hereby agreed that the Advanced Study Fund Ceiling shall serve as the basis for the calculation of deductions and contributions to the Advanced Study Fund.

  • Advanced Study: A teacher who has been employed under the terms of this Agreement by the District for three (3) continuous contract years or more immediately preceding the granting of this leave is eligible for advanced study leave for up to one (1) year.

  • During a Leave of Absence without Compensation to do Advanced Study leave, all insurance benefits now paid to the teacher will be paid during the year of leave.

  • Any tenured teacher at the College may be granted an Advanced Study Leave of absence without pay for advanced study for a period not to exceed one (1) year, upon recommendation of the President.

  • The Company shall, during the Employment Period, make monthly contributions on behalf of the Executive to a recognized Advanced Study Fund in an amount equal to 7.5% of the Executive’s salary.

  • Advanced Study Leave Advanced Study: A teacher who has been employed under the terms of this Agreement by the District for three (3) continuous contract years or more immediately preceding the granting of this leave is eligible for advanced study leave for up to one (1) year.

  • All amounts paid to the Advanced Study Fund under this Section will not exceed the amounts exempt from tax under the income tax regulations applicable to payments to Advanced Study Funds.

  • The extended teaching day differential will continue to apply, as set forth in Article 114, Advanced Study Credit, to Preschool Early Intervention Special Education Teachers, if required to work an eight (8) hour day.

  • The Company shall pay an amount of up to 7.5% of the salary to an "Advanced Study Fund" (in which the Executive shall participate in an amount of 2.5% of his salary by way of withholding from his pay).

  • Advanced Study Leave • Charter School Leave • Extended Sick Leave • Extended Personal Leave • Extended Part-time Leave • Illness in the Immediate Family • Parental Leave The Negotiated Agreement and District practices allow for additional time and flexible scheduling to be used for professional development and other school-specific functions.

Related to Advanced Study

  • Stage-Four Advanced, Metastatic Cancer means a cancer that has spread from the primary or original site of the cancer to nearby tissues, lymph nodes, or other areas or parts of the body.

  • Advanced Services refers to high speed, switched, broadband, wireline Telecommunications capability that enables users to originate and receive high-quality, voice, data, graphics or video Telecommunications using any technology.

  • Phase II Study means a human clinical trial, for which the primary endpoints include a determination of dose ranges and/or a preliminary determination of efficacy in patients being studied as described in 21 C.F.R. § 312.21(b) (FDCA), as amended from time to time, and the foreign equivalent thereof.

  • Advanced emergency medical technician or “AEMT” means an individual who has successfully completed a course of study based on the United States Department of Transportation’s Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Instructional Guidelines (January 2009), has passed the psychomotor and cognitive examinations for the AEMT, and is currently certified by the department as an AEMT.

  • Phase II Trial means a clinical trial of a Licensed Product, designated as a Phase II Trial and the principal purpose of which is to make a preliminary determination that such Licensed Product is safe and active in a patient population for its intended use and is designed to obtain sufficient information about such Licensed Product’s efficacy to permit the design of a Phase III Trial(s), and generally consistent with 21 CFR § 312.21(b). For purposes of this definition, Phase II trial shall specifically exclude expansion cohorts from Phase I Trial(s).
