ADVANCED PRACTICE PROFESSIONALS definition

ADVANCED PRACTICE PROFESSIONALS. (“APPs”) means individuals other than Medical Staff members who are authorized by law and by the Hospital to provide patient care services in the Hospital. All APPs are described as Category I, Category II, or Category III practitioners in the Medical Staff Bylaws documents:
ADVANCED PRACTICE PROFESSIONALS. (“APPs”) means individuals other than Physicians, Dentists, Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Podiatrists who are authorized by law and by the Hospital to provide a certain level of patient care services pursuant to a delineation of Clinical Privileges. Generally the APP is required by law and/or the Hospital to exercise some or all of those Clinical Privileges pursuant to a written sponsorship/Supervision/collaborative agreement, delegation, direction or supervision by or in collaboration with a Supervising/Collaborating Practitioner. See Article 8 for further detail.

The categories of Advanced Practice Professionals practicing at the Hospital are set forth in Appendix A.

ADVANCED PRACTICE PROFESSIONALS. (“APPs”) means individuals other than Members of the Medical Staff who are authorized by law and by the Hospital to provide a medical level of care or perform surgical tasks consistent with the Clinical Privileges granted to the APP, but who are required by law and/or the Hospital to exercise some or all of those Clinical Privileges pursuant to a written sponsorship/ Supervision/collaborative [CHECK STATE LAW REGARDING REQUIRED NATURE OF RELATIONSHIP] agreement with a Supervising/Collaborating Practitioner. The categories of Advanced Practice Professionals practicing at the Hospital are set forth in Appendix A.
ADVANCED PRACTICE PROFESSIONALS means UVMHN Affiliate employed but not limited to Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Physician Assistants, Anesthesia Assistants and Radiology Assistants.
ADVANCED PRACTICE PROFESSIONALS. (“APPs”) means individuals other than members of the Medical Staff who are authorized by law and by the Hospital to provide patient care services. Advanced Practice Professionals are described as Licensed Independent Providers, Advanced Practice Providers or Dependent Providers in the Medical Staff Bylaws documents:
ADVANCED PRACTICE PROFESSIONALS means those individuals, other than Practitioners, who are licensed and/or certified to render health care services independently or under the supervision of a member of the Medical Staff, and who are authorized by the Facility to provide direct health care services at the Facility, in accordance with the terms and conditions of these Medical Staff Bylaws and the Facility’s policies and procedures. Clinical Assistants are not Advanced Practice Professionals and do not qualify for Clinical Privileges or Staff Membership.
ADVANCED PRACTICE PROFESSIONALS. (“APPs”) means individuals other than Members of the Medical Staff who are authorized by law and by the Hospital to provide a medical level of care or perform surgical tasks consistent with the Clinical Privileges granted to the APP, but who are required by law and/or the Hospital to exercise some or all of those Clinical Privileges pursuant to a written sponsorship/ Supervision/ collaborative agreement with a Supervising/ Collaborating Practitioner. Appendix A of this Policy includes a list of those categories of Advanced Practice Professionals that have been authorized by the Board to practice at the Hospital and the Appendix may be updated at any time to reflect new categories that are authorized to practice pursuant to this Policy, without the need to follow the process for amending the Policy.

  • Advanced practice nurse means a person who holds current certification as nurse practitioner/clinical nurse specialist from the State Board of Nursing.

  • Professionals means those Persons (a) employed pursuant to an order of the Bankruptcy Court in accordance with Sections 327 or 1103 of the Bankruptcy Code and to be compensated for services pursuant to Sections 327, 328, 329, 330 and 331 of the Bankruptcy Code, or (b) for which compensation and reimbursement has been allowed by the Bankruptcy Court pursuant to Section 503(b)(4) of the Bankruptcy Code.

  • Licensed professional means a professional registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia pursuant to Article 1 (§ 54.1-400 et seq.) of Chapter 4 of Title 54.1 of the Code of Virginia. For purposes of these Standards and Specifications a licensed professional is one that is certified by DPOR as an Architect, Professional Engineer, Land Surveyor, or Landscape Architects.

  • Medical professional means a person licensed to practice

  • Health professional means that term as defined in section 5883 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.5883.
