Advanced nursing practice means the delivery of nursing care at an advanced level of independent nursing practice that maximi- zes the use of graduate educational preparation, and in-depth nursing knowledge and expertise in such roles as autonomous clinical practi- tioner, professional and clinical leader, expert practitioner, and re- searcher.
