Advance benefit determination definition
Advance benefit determination means a decision on a claim that is (1) a denial, reduction, or termination of; or (2) a failure to provide or make payment (in whole or in part) for a benefit under the Fund. A rescission of coverage is treated as an adverse benefit determination (whether or not the rescission has an adverse effect on any particular benefit at that time).
