Adopted Children definition

Adopted Children means all persons adopted by someone other than us only if the person was adopted before reaching the age of eighteen (18), or lived in the home of the adopting parent before reaching the age of eighteen (18) if not actually adopted before that time. Anyone that we jointly adopt shall be included as a child of ours regardless of the adopted person’s age at the time of the adoption. An adopted child and the adopted child’s issue shall be considered issue of the adopting parent or parents and of anyone who is by blood or adoption an ancestor of the adopting parent or of either of the adopting parents.
Adopted Children. Coverage: Coverage for an adopted Child, other than a newborn, will begin from the date of placement in the Covered Person’s home. A notice of placement for adoption must be submitted to Us. If notice is not given within 31 days, coverage for the adopted Child will terminate.

Examples of Adopted Children in a sentence

  • The automatic enrollment of a Newborn or Adopted Children may cause the applicable Out of Pocket Maximum to automatically change from the Individual Out of Pocket Maximum to a Family Out of Pocket Maximum.

  • At any time, You may apply to add to Your Plan Adopted Children who are not Newborns and children who are placed in Your custody.

  • Newborn and Adopted Child(ren) of the Subscriber, Subscriber’s spouse , or Subscriber’s Domestic Partner will be covered for an initial period of thirty-one (31) days from the date of birth or adoption.

  • Coverage for Newborn and Adopted Child(ren) will continue beyond the thirty-one (31) days, provided the Subscriber with other than Family Coverage submits through Oscar a form to add the child under the Subscriber's Plan.

  • Newborn and Adopted Child(ren) of the Subscriber or Subscriber’s Spouse will be covered for an initial period of thirty-one (31) days from the date of birth or adoption.

  • Coverage for Newborn and Adopted Child(ren) will continue beyond the thirty-one (31) days, provided the Subscriber with other than Family Coverage submits through the Exchange a form to add the child under the Subscriber's Plan.

  • The Subscriber’s or the Subscriber’s spouse’s or the Subscriber’s Domestic Partner’s children who are under age twenty-six (26), including stepchildren, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and legally Adopted Children.

  • The QAPI Update notes that “data capture at the child/encounter level to tie data together across systems and service entities” and “measure penetration of services (Comparison populations may include Medicaid eligible, Children in ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Care, Children Adopted, Children Served by Entity)” and messages the future cadence of future cross-bureau quality reviews.
