New Construction construction. – Any means any improvement to an academic facility and, if necessary, related areas such as the physical plant and grounds, that brings the state, condition, or efficiency of the academic facility to a state of condition or efficiency better than the academic facility's current condition of completeness or efficiency.
New Construction construction means, for insurance rating purposes, structures for which the "start of construction" as herein defined commenced on or after the effective date of this chapter. December 31, 1974 and includes any subsequent improvements to such structures. This term does not apply to any work on a structure existing before the effective date of this chapter.
