The purposes of this Agreement are to: (1) provide the terms of the rights and duties agreed to by the Parties for managing and funding the Program for the implementation of the HCP as provided in the Implementing Agreement; and (2) provide the terms of the Program’s Adaptive Management Process.
The Adaptive Management Process will provide guidance to all Parties regarding monitoring, research, and management practices to benefit the Covered Species.
As more particularly described in Chapter 7 of the HCP and in Appendix A, the Parties shall implement an iterative Adaptive Management Process for the HCP that utilizes the best scientific and commercial data and information available, together with the results of monitoring and research, to evaluate the successes and shortcomings of the HCP.
Each of the Parties to this Agreement will perform certain specific tasks relating to the Conservation Measures and the Adaptive Management Process as more particularly provided in the Program Documents.
All proposed changes as a result of the Adaptive Management Process will be identified in the annual implementation report, work plan, and budget submitted to the Service for review, comment and approval as provided in Section 11.1.3 and Appendix A of this Agreement.
