acute lethality definition
acute lethality means a toxic effect resulting in death in an organism by a substance or mixture of substances within a short exposure period (usually 96 hours or less);
acute lethality means an effluent which is deemed acutely lethal if the undiluted (100%) effluent kills 50% or more of the fish or daphnia in the test.
