Active Roster means the list of individuals specific to an entity who have been determined eligible under this chapter to provide services for the entity and who the entity has identified as affiliated. An individual shall remain on the entity's active roster and is considered affiliated until the commissioner determines the individual is ineligible or the entity removes the individual from the entity's active roster.

Active Roster shall be determined as follows: Commencing on the day prior to the start of the Regular Season, and concluding with each respective Club's last NHL Game in a League Year, Active Roster shall include all Players on a Club's Reserve List who are signed to an approved and registered SPC, subject to the provisions of Article 11, and who are not on the Injured Reserve List, Injured Non-Roster, designated Non-Roster, or Loaned. A Player who is on a Conditioning Loan is included on a Club's Active Roster. During Training Camp, a Player shall be deemed to be on the Club's Active Roster only if he had been on the Club's Active Roster after the Trade Deadline in the preceding season on other than an emergency recall basis.

Examples of Active Roster in a sentence

• When a Club directs a Player to report to the Major Leagues and then returns the Player to the Minor League club without selecting or adding him to the Active Roster, the return must be justified based on a change in the circumstances that led the Club to anticipate the Player’s selection or recall.

• If a Player directed to report is not added to the Major League Active Roster within the time limit set forth in this paragraph, the Player may not remain with the Major League Club (including remaining in the Major League Club’s city at the request of the Club).

• For Players who are added to the Active Roster, the in-season supplemental allowances pro- vided for by Article VII(E) (to the extent applicable) shall com- mence on the day that they are added to the Active Roster.

• In addition to the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby partici- pant benefits described in Article VII(D), all Players on the Active Roster (i.e., available to play in the All-Star Game) of the winning team shall share equally in a $640,000 bonus.

• For Players who are added to the Active Roster, the in-season supplemental allowances pro- vided for by Article VII(F) (to the extent applicable) shall com- mence on the day that they are added to the Active Roster.

• Both Clubs shall return to the pre-event number of Active Roster members upon the conclusion of the Special Event (see Major League Rule 2(c)(2)(A)(ii)(cc)-(gg)).

• The Player on the Reserve Roster shall receive all the benefits that they would receive as if they were on the Active Roster, except that they shall not be allowed to participate in regular season, playoff or Grey Cup games.

• For the 2019 season, the Active Roster size of each Member Club in the C.F.L. for regular season, playoff and Grey Cup games shall be a minimum of forty-four (44) Players and a maximum of forty-five (45) Players.

• For the 2019 season, each Member Club shall have one (1) Player on its Reserve Roster in addition to its Active Roster, who shall be signed to C.F.L. Standard Player Contracts and who may attend at all practices and meetings, but shall not be allowed to participate in regular season, playoff or Grey Cup games.

• For the 2019 season, each Member Club shall have one (1) Player on its Active Roster who is considered a Global Player.

More Definitions of Active Roster

Active Roster means those Players currently registered and eligible to play on a Team who are listed on a Team’s roster and have been approved to compete together as a group associated with SJJS in Competitions. Ineligible Players are not counted as Active Roster Players.
