accomplishments actually means “certain skills such as dancing, the ability to sing and play music or draw and paint, and knowledge of modern languages, especially French and Italian; these skills were supposed to make a woman more attractive on the marriage market” (86, note 1). Obviously, the majority of this list is filled with superficial accomplishments and is not concerned with focusing on rationality, prudence, or morals.
