Accidental Injuries definition

Accidental Injuries means death or Bodily Injury of the Insured which results directly, solely and independently of any other causes from an Accident AND which occurs within 180 days of the Accident.
Accidental Injuries means death or Bodily Injury of the Insured which results directly, solely and independently of any other causes from an Accident AND which occurs within 90 days of the Accident. "Accident" refers to a sudden, unforeseen and involuntary event caused by external, violent and visible means which occurs while the relevant Supplementary Contract is in force and during the lifetime of the Insured.
Accidental Injuries means accidental physical bodily harm excluding illness or disease solely and directly caused by external, violent and visible and evident means which is verified and certified by a company appointed Medical Practitioner or a Doctor attached to a Government Hospital.

Examples of Accidental Injuries in a sentence

  • Dental Care and Treatment including Surgery and dental appliances required to correct Accidental Injuries of the jaws, cheeks, lips, tongue, roof or floor of mouth, and of sound natural teeth.

  • Dental conditions including dental treatment or oral surgery except as necessitated by Accidental Injuries to sound natural teeth occurring wholly during the Period of Insurance.

  • Licensed General Hospital services and supplies for the treatment of Accidental Injuries and Emergency Medical Conditions.

Accidental Injuries means accidental physical bodily harm excluding illness or disease solely and directly caused by external, violent and visible and evident means which is verified and certified by Independent Medical Practitioner. “Medical Practitioner” is a person who holds a valid registration from the medical council of any state or Medical Council of India or Council for Indian Medicine or for Homeopathy set up by the Government of India or a State Government and is thereby entitled to practice medicine within its jurisdiction and is acting within the scope and jurisdiction of license.

  • Accidental Injury means an Injury sustained as a result of an external force or forces that is/are sudden, direct and unforeseen and is/are exact as to time and place. A hernia of any kind will only be considered as an Illness.

  • Substantial bodily injury means "bodily injury which involves (A) a temporary but substantial disfigurement; or (B) a temporary but substantial loss or impairment of the function of any bodily member, organ, or mental faculty." See 18 U.S.C. § 113(b)(1).

Conditions that are short-term in nature, including, but not limited to, common illnesses such as influenza and the measles, and common injuries, are not catastrophic. Chronic illnesses or injuries, such as cancer or major surgery, that result in intermittent absences from work and that are long-term in nature and require long recuperation periods may be considered catastrophic.

  • Accidental release means an unanticipated emission of a regulated substance or other extremely hazardous substance into the ambient air from a stationary source.

  • Accident/Accidental means an event or incident that occurs which is unforeseen and unexpected which resulted directly in the death or injury of the Person Covered.

  • Disease means an alteration in the state of the body or of some of its organs, interrupting or disturbing the performance of the functions, and causing or threatening pain and weakness or physical or mental disorder and certified by a Medical Practitioner.
