Accident or Illness definition

Accident or Illness is used in this Article, it shall mean an accident or illness which is so severe in nature, and involves circumstances which the employee could not reasonably be expected to disregard at the District’s discretion.

Examples of Accident or Illness in a sentence

  • Industrial Accident or Illness Leave shall commence on the first day of absence.

  • Industrial Accident or Illness Leave shall be reduced by one (1) day for each day of authorized absence regardless of a temporary disability indemnity award.

  • Upon subsequent notification that the absence has been accepted as an Industrial Accident or Illness Leave the regular sick leave balance will then be adjusted to its previous balance.

  • For the purposes of this Article, an Industrial Accident or Illness leave shall be defined as disability absences resulting from an injury or illness, as determined to be a valid Workers' Compensation claim by the District’s Workers’ Compensation insurer or Claims Administrator.

  • Industrial Accident or Illness leave will not constitute a break in service.

  • Industrial Accident or Illness Leave shall not accumulate from year to year.

  • When an Industrial Accident or Illness Leave overlaps into the next fiscal year, the unit member shall be entitled to only the amount of unused leave due him/her for the same illness/injury, but in no event shall the leave exceed sixty (60) days.

  • When the Industrial Accident or Illness Leave overlaps into the next fiscal year, the employee shall be entitled to only the amount of unused leave due him/her for the same illness or injury.

  • Benefit 3.2 - Repatriation of Mortal Remains We will pay for the necessary cost of transporting Your mortal remains to Malaysia in the event of Your death due to Accident or Illness during the Trip.
