Academic Warning. definition

Academic Warning.. This is by no means a comprehensive review. While “probation” lingers at many more schools, we hope the UC will lead this shift, as we’ve led many advances in education and student support.

Examples of Academic Warning. in a sentence

  • The College Academic Warning procedures will apply to dual enrolled students who fall below the required 2.0 College GPA.

  • Any scholarship recipient must be able to prove their academic standing through an Official Transcript from the accredited college/university, may not have an Academic Warning, be on Academic Probation, be in Academic Recovery or have been granted Academic Dismissal Status in order for scholarship awards to be sent on the recipient’s behalf.

  • Students placed on Academic Warning are given one semester to raise their term College GPA to a 2.0. Students who do not meet the minimum GPA after one semester of Academic Warning will be dismissed from the Dual Enrollment Program.

  • Students who fail to maintain the required minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) will be placed on Academic Warning the semester following the one where their cumulative GPA falls below the minimum required GPA.

  • While on Academic Warning, students may be restricted to a maximum course load of 15 credits of which 50% must be core courses as defined in the course catalog.

  • Students with a term Pro-Core GPA below 2.25 and fewer than ten credits of Pro-Core coursework will be placed on Academic Warning.

  • Students are removed from Academic Warning as soon as their cumulative GPA is above the minimum required GPA.

  • Students who fail to maintain the required mini- mum cumulative GPA or who fail to complete their academic program within the maximum at- tempted credits allowed or fail to maintain satisfac- ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ will be placed on Academic Warning.

  • Students who do not earn a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA will be placed on one of the following academic actions: Students on Academic Warning have less than a satisfactory cumulative GPA (less than a 2.0) with less than 18 quality hours.* A registration hold is not placed on their record, but they will be notified about their status and encouraged to meet with an adviser and take advantage of the support services available.

  • The purpose of Academic Warning it to notify the student that their progress in class is placing them on a trajectory to be on Academic Probation the following semester.

Related to Academic Warning.

  • Academic Board means the Academic Board of the University College established under paragraph 13;

  • animals means animals as defined in the Terrestrial Animal Health Code or the Aquatic Animal Health Code of the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), respectively;

  • Enslavement means the exercise of any or all of the powers attaching to the right of ownership over a person and includes the exercise of such power in the course of trafficking in persons, in particular women and children;

  • Academic Unit means an Academic Department, research unit, School, non-departmentalized Faculty, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Campus Division, Faculty of Medicine Division, the Fisheries and Marine Institute, the Counselling Centre, or the University Library, to which one (1) or more ASMs have their primary or sole appointment. For Faculty Members at ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Campus who are not members of a Division, the Academic Unit shall be the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Campus. For Faculty Members in the Faculty of Medicine who are not members of a Division, the Academic Unit shall be the Faculty.

  • Academic year means the period of twelve months beginning on 1st January, 1st April, 1st July or 1st September according to whether the course in question begins in the winter, the spring, the summer or the autumn respectively but if students are required to begin attending the course during August or September and to continue attending through the autumn, the academic year of the course is to be considered to begin in the autumn rather than the summer;
