Academic Professional definition

Academic Professional means a member of the bargaining unit who holds the position classification of Wellness Counselor or Assistant Librarian.
Academic Professional. Assistant Librarian”, or “Wellness Counselor” means a member of the bargaining unit who holds the position classification of Wellness Counselor I†, Wellness Counselor II*, Assistant Librarian I†, or Assistant Librarian II*.‌
Academic Professional means any employee of the College who is hired to work in a professional capacity directly related to instructional programs and provides support for an academic or instructional program, or directly impacts student educational success, but who is not a Counselor, Librarian or Instructor.

Academic Professional refers to members of the bargaining unit other than faculty, who hold professional level positions as defined under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The work is predominantly intellectual, requires specialized education, and involves the exercise of discretion and judgment.
