Absentees definition

Absentees property' means property, the legal owner of which, at any time during the period between Kislev 16, 5708 (November 29, 1947) and the day on which a declaration is published under section 9(d) of the Law and Administration Ordinance, 5708-1948, that the state of emergency declared by the Provisional Council of State on Iyar 10, 5708 (May 19, 1948) has ceased to exist, was an absentee or which, at any time as aforesaid, an absentee held or enjoyed, whether by himself or through another; but it does not include movable property held by an absentee and exempt from attachment or seizure under section 3 of the Civil Procedure Ordinance, 1938" [emphasis added – A.G.].

Examples of Absentees in a sentence

  • Absentees, meaning employees failing to report for scheduled work on the holiday, or on the last scheduled day preceding the holiday or the first scheduled day following the holiday shall receive no pay for the holiday unless such absences are excused.

  • Annex X shall elaborate the details of the above including, but not limited to, evidentiary issues and the use of UNCCP, Custodian for Absentees' Property, and UNRWA records, along with any other relevant records.

  • Intermittent Leave means leave taken in separate blocks of time due to a single qualifying reason.

  • Moral turpitude means conduct that is wrong in itself even if no statute were to prohibit the conduct; and

  • Insubordination means the willful disregard of a supervisor's instructions or the refusal to obey a lawful order from a supervisor. Insubordination does not mean the refusal to follow an order from a supervisor that would violate Federal or state law; Federal regulations; state rules; or a court order.

  • Intoxication means a person with an elevated blood alcohol content of a ratio of alcohol in the blood of such person that is eight-hundredths of one per cent or more of alcohol, by weight or such person has sustained such Injury while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or any drug or both.

  • Chronic delinquency" shall mean failure by Tenant to pay Basic Rent, or any other payments required to be paid by Tenant under this Lease within three (3) days after written notice thereof for any three (3) occasions (consecutive or non-consecutive) during any twelve (12) month period. In the event of a chronic delinquency, Landlord shall have the right, at Landlord's option, to require that Basic Rent be paid by Tenant quarterly, in advance.
