A vacancy definition

A vacancy means a position which has been vacated due to resignation, discharge, retirement, death, a transfer into another position or a promotion or a new position.
A vacancy in any office by reason of death, resignation, inability to act, disqualification, or any other cause, may at any time be filled for the unexpired portion of the term by the board.
A vacancy is a new Core Musician position approved by the Employer, a previously filled position which has been vacated permanently and continues to be an approved position, or a vacancy caused by a one year approved leave.

Examples of A vacancy in a sentence

  • A vacancy that will occur at a specific later date may be filled before the vacancy occurs but the new Manager may not take office until the vacancy occurs.
