(A) Spare definition

(A) Spare means an individual part, sub-assembly or assembly supplied for the maintenance or repair of systems or equipment. (JSP 886 Vol 1 Part 1A).

Examples of (A) Spare in a sentence

  • A Spare Driver who does not work at least one (1) shift in every six (6) month period will lose their seniority and will be dropped from the Spare Driver list.

  • A Spare mechanic or garage attendant shall exercise seniority according to the rules of the Section to which he or she is currently assigned to work, until the start of a new assignment.

  • A Spare cannot be used in their Spare classification if employees are scheduled for work in the Spare’s regular classification unless no full-time classified is available for in that classification.

  • A Spare Board employee who accepts a call and fails to report for duty will be held off the Spare Board until the employee used in his place has completed the tour of duty in question.

  • H:02(7)(a) A Spare Board Operator is an Operator who bids on or is assigned to daily/weekly miscellaneous pieces of work and/or temporary vacancies.
