A SESSIONAL definition

A SESSIONAL. POSITION shall mean a NEW position that becomes available after the start of the school year. This position is deemed sessional for the remainder of the school year although the E.C.E. does not retain a permanent tie to that position. Seniority will accumulate from the first day of the sessional position. Part time sessional positions will be offered by order of seniority to part time E.C.E.s who’s schedules would permit the additional FTE without disruption to their original placement.
