A forecast definition

A forecast means prospective financial information prepared on the basis of assumptions as to future events that the governing body reasonably expects to occur associated with the actions the governing body reasonably expects to take as at the date that the information is prepared (best-estimate assumptions).

Examples of A forecast in a sentence

  • A forecast should be provided at or prior to the first implementation meeting.

  • A forecast provided a day prior to any non-Business Day shall include forecasts for the next day, each succeeding non-Business Day and the next Business Day.

  • A forecast provided a day prior to any non-Business Day shall include forecasts for the immediate day, each succeeding non-Business Day and the next Business Day.
