Common use of Paddock Clause in Contracts

Paddock. The access times must be strictly respected, any access outside the access times will be refused. All instructions given by the paddock marshals must be respected. The team areas will be allocated by the marshals, it is not allowed to take up team positions without the paddock marshals’ instructions. Special attention must be paid not to pollute the paddock surface with oil, fuel or other technical lubricants. Any office will be prosecuted. The road traffic laws are applicable in the whole area of the paddocks and speed is limited to walking speed. Test and set-up drives are prohibited. Following the authorities’ instructions, all participants are reminded to avoid any pollution of the environment, including car wash inside the paddocks. All kind of waste, packing material, exchanged car parts, empty oil and paint cans, batteries, etc. must be taken along by participants themselves. Animals are forbidden in the paddocks. The use of motor vehicles by children and persons not holding a driving permit, the use of skateboards or similar means of transportation as well as the use of non insured means of transportation is also forbidden. Any kind of pollution and non-respect of the above prescriptions will result in a fine of 256 Euro. It is forbidden to drive any kind of attachments parts into the paddocks. In the case of non-respect, the damage caused will be charged to the causer. All participants must pass by the chief paddock marshal before leaving the circuit area in order to have their area checked for proper condition. The respect of all appropriate, environmental prescriptions, in particular in relation to the dealing with fuel and lubricants, is inherent basis of the contract. Anybody failing to respect these prescriptions damages the prestige of motorsport in public.
