This Distribution Agreement (the “Agreement”) is made this 9th day of July, 2015, by and between John Hancock Exchange-Traded Fund Trust, a Massachusetts business trust (the “Trust”) having its principal place of business at 601 Congress Street, Boston, MA 02210-2805, and Foreside Fund Services, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (the “Distributor”) having its principal place of business at Three Canal Plaza, Suite 100, Portland, ME 04101.

AMENDED AND RESTATED AGREEMENT AND DECLARATION OF TRUST made at Boston, Massachusetts this 22rd day of June, 2015 by the Trustees whose signatures are affixed hereto and the holders of shares of beneficial interest issued hereunder and to be issued hereunder as hereinafter provided amending and restating the Agreement and Declaration of Trust dated November 24, 2009 (the “Initial Declaration”) for purposes of eliminating certain references to the initial Trustees, adding persons as signatories and thus Trustees, and making certain such other changes as the persons executing this Amended and Restated Agreement and Declaration of Trust have determined to be appropriate;
