This Employment Agreement (“Agreement”), effective as of the Effective Date (as defined below), sets forth the terms and conditions under which Emeritus Corporation, a Washington corporation, (“Emeritus”), and its subsidiaries (the “Subsidiaries”), as designated from time to time by the Board of Directors of Emeritus (the “Board”), agree to employ Granger Cobb (“Employee”) to provide the services specified hereunder. Emeritus and the Subsidiaries are sometimes collectively referred to herein as the “Company.”
