(the “Company”), a Cayman Islands exempted company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Virtus AlphaSimplex Managed Futures Strategy Fund (successor to AlphaSimplex Managed Futures Strategy Fund, a series of Natixis Funds Trust II) (the “Fund”), a series of Virtus Alternative Solutions Trust (the “Trust”), a Delaware statutory trust and open-end investment company registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended (the “Investment Company Act”) . The purpose of the Company is to facilitate the implementation of the Fund’s investment strategies.
