FiledMarch 20th, 2001In 1999 the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe charged me with a comparative study1 of the national regulations related to radiation protection. The idea was to compare the legislation of Ukraine with that of a few European Union member states in order to examine whether β post-Chernobyl - the Ukrainian authorities had undertaken the necessary legislative efforts to protect their population adequately against the risk of exposure to ionising radiations.
