This arrangement provides a comprehensive public drop-off recycling opportunity in mid-county which matches the countywide curbside recycling collection program in the wide range of materials accepted. As curbside recycling is not mandatory nor universally used, this drop-off program provides a direct benefit to both residents and businesses in the unincorporated area. In addition, the large volumes of materials handled by this center help the County in meeting its mandated landfill disposal diversion requirements.
