PURPOSE The purpose of this Information Sharing Agreement is to facilitate the lawful exchange of data in order to comply with the statutory duty on Chief Police Officers and relevant agencies to work together for the purpose of implementing strategies and tactics in relation to crime reduction and the prevention and detection of crime throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland. PARTNERS The National Policing Lead for Hate Crime on behalf of The Police Service of England, Wales and Northern Ireland (Hereafter referred to as ‘The Police’) The Community Security Trust Endorsing Forces This agreement is in force for all police areas and allows for all forces to use this agreement to share includedinformation with named partners. It does not need to be individually endorsed but any force may agree additional local data sharing agreements not included in this agreement by adding agreed additions to the document, coutersigning it and sharing a copy with the other parties.
