Tahltan Band is a party to the Framework Agreement on First Nation Land Management. The Framework Agreement on First Nation Land Management provides Tahltan Band with the option to manage its reserve lands under its own Land Code. The federal government is also a party to the agreement ratified through the First Nation Lands Management Act on June 17, 1999.
